EXPERIENCE

Communications Manager / Bike New York / Fall 2015 - Winter 2019

Bike New York is the city’s leading bike safety and education organization, providing free classes and programs to New Yorker. I worked across departments to promote Bike New York through creating and managing owned, earned, and paid media content.

Video Editor / Louis Armstrong House Museum / Summer 2017 - Winter 2020

Over the course of several campaigns, I edited videos promoting the Museum’s programs and events, including the 50th Anniversary of Armstrong’s iconic song, “What a Wonderful World.”

Video Producer / NYC DOT / Winter 2013 - Spring 2018

As the culminating activity in NYC DOT’s We’re Walking Here! curriculum, students from across New York City created PSA scripts that promoted walking as a fun, safe, and environmentally friendly way to get to school. I worked with students to produce videos based on the winning scripts. In 2018, I produced another pedestrian safety video, which is now used in DOT’s Safety Education and Outreach program in middle schools.

Video Producer & Team Leader / IISD Reporting Services / Summer 2013 - Spring 2016

I produced videos covering select United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) negotiations and related conferences, workshops, and symposia. I led five video teams to produce more than 35 videos at the Paris Climate talks in December 2015, featuring various international organizations and public agencies working to prevent, mitigate, and adapt to climate change.

Video Producer / People For Bikes / Summer 2015 - Winter 2016

The Better Bike Share Partnership focuses on understanding the barriers to bike sharing in low income and communities of color, and gives cities financial and programmatic support to build equitable and replicable systems. As part of a storytelling effort by the Partnership, I produced a series of vignettes featuring bike share members in Austin, Philadelphia, and Chicago.

Associate Producer / Streetfilms / Summer 2008 - Winter 2013

Streetfilms is a web video project focused on the intersections of urban planning, sustainable transportation, and civic engagement. I produced, wrote, shot, and edited short videos, and implemented innovative web tools and features. I also coordinated outreach, distribution, and archiving operations.

Summer Science Adventures Instructor / Brooklyn Botanic Garden / Summer 2004

Designed and taught garden based science curriculum for 7-9 year olds, using the BBG as a venue for discovery and learning. I also mentored a Junior Instructor, maintained education greenhouses and their plant collections, and created a sustainable ecological waste water treatment installation with accompanying interpretive signage.

Gardener and Educator/ Vermont Garden Park at the National Gardening Association / Summer 2006

Maintained the display gardens, coordinated volunteers, and developed and led garden-based educational activities for youth.
